How Amazon Financing Works

Amazon has a unique positioning for offering credit. It has 150 million Prime subscribers, millions of users trafficking its platform, and over 2.5 million sellers. Like other retailers, this creates a huge opportunity to offer its customers credit products and financing options. Moreover, its platform for sellers also creates an opportunity to offer business credit.

Amazon’s foray into financial services has always been about building opportunities for spending within the Amazon ecosystem. The company has historically been active in several fintech areas, particularly online payments. Then in 2011, it launched small business lending, and from there started to roll out different credit card products for both its small business and consumer users.

Read more about how Amazon's financing options work and what they have to offer.

Key Takeaways

  • Amazon offers customers several revolving credit options.
  • Amazon’s most popular credit cards are the Amazon Rewards Visa Card, Amazon Prime Rewards Visa and the Amazon Store Card.
  • Amazon also offers small business credit options, including the Amazon Business Prime American Express.

What is Amazon Financing?

Amazon financing encompasses a range of credit product and service offerings by Amazon.com to help consumer and small business customers to pay for purchases over time. Terms and conditions vary depending on creditworthiness and the structure of loans involve both installment and open-ended credit arrangements.

Small Business Lending

Amazon launched small business lending for its sellers in 2011. Not highly publicized, the lending was offered to sellers somewhat cautiously based on Amazon selling criteria. Since its launch, Amazon’s small business lending has issued over $5 billion to small businesses on its platform. Its offering continues to be on an invitation-only basis.

Amazon Credit Card Options

Financing is available to Amazon users through three credit card options—the Amazon Rewards Visa Card, the Amazon Prime Rewards Signature Visa, the Amazon Store Card, and the Amazon Secured Card. If approved, applicants receive a credit limit based on their credit score and other screening factors.

150 million+

The number of Amazon Prime members in the U.S. as of the end of 2019.

The Amazon Store Card

The Amazon Store Card was rolled out first in 2015. It has two iterations. One card is provided for Prime members and the other for non-Prime members.

The Amazon Store Card has no annual fee. It is offered in partnership with Synchrony Bank. Cardholders who have a Prime membership can use the card to get 5% cash back on any purchase made with Amazon.

The Amazon Store Card can only be used on Amazon.

All approved cardholders get an Amazon gift card. Promotional financing and special financing options are available. Customers can choose either Equal Monthly Payments or Special Financing after choosing the Amazon Store Card as their payment method.

Equal Monthly Payments:

  • Six-month equal payments financing on purchases of $150 or more
  • 12-month equal payments financing on purchases of $600 or more
  • 24-month equal payments financing on select purchases

With these options, cardholders make equal payments on purchases made through Amazon at a 0% annual percentage rate (APR) for the duration of the financing period. The required payment under this option is the purchase price including tax and shipping, which is divided equally by the length of financing. So, if you purchase something for $450, you have six months to pay it off. Your payments will be $75 per month or $450 ÷ 6.

Customers who carry a balance beyond the term of the financing incur a late fee until the balance is paid in full. Interest is also assessed on the full promotional balance from the date of the purchase

The other option is Special Financing, which also has three tiers:

  • Six-month special financing on purchases of $150 or more
  • 12-month special financing on purchases of $600 or more
  • 24-month special financing on select purchases of $800 or more

Customers don't pay interest if the entire purchase is paid off within the specified length of time. Monthly minimums are required. Any balance that remains incurs interest and a late fee. The APR is 25.99%, and interest is also assessed on the full promotional balance from the date of the purchase even if you've made payments. This means it's in your best interest to pay off the card before the specified time period, otherwise you'll incur a lot of extra charges.

The Amazon Rewards Visa Card

The Amazon Rewards Visa Card was launched in 2017. It is also offered in two iterations, for Prime and non-Prime members. New cardholders can get an Amazon gift card upon approval. Both cards have an APR that ranges between 14.24% to 22.24% depending on the cardholder's credit score.

The card is available to any registered Amazon customer. There is no annual fee and the card doesn't charge foreign transaction fees. This card is offered by Chase Bank. The Rewards Visa Card rewards cardholders through cash back on multiple levels.

Amazon Rewards Visa cardholders can earn 3% cash back on purchases made through Amazon and at Whole Foods. These cardholders earn 2% cash back on purchases at restaurants, gas stations, and participating drug stores. Rewards Visa cardholders can also earn 1% cash back on any other purchases.

Cardholders with an Amazon Prime membership get approved for the Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Card. These cardholders earn an additional 5% on Amazon and Whole Foods purchases.

Using the cash back can help offset the cost of the yearly Prime membership fee of $119. Prime members who spend about $200 a month or more at Amazon will essentially recover the annual fee.

The Amazon Secured Card

In June of 2019, Amazon launched a secured card to help customers with bad credit. The card is known as the Amazon Prime Store Card Credit Builder. Cardholders must make a required deposit ranging from $100 to $1,000. The deposited amount is also the credit limit.Amazon offers secured cardholders the same benefits as the Amazon Store Card, which includes both the Equal Monthly Payments and Special Financing payment options.

Other Amazon Financing Options

With a strong position in alternative financial service offerings, Amazon also advertises some other notable payments types:

  • Amazon Business Card: The Amazon Business American Express Card was launched in October 2018. It offers special perks to business shoppers, including discounts for its Amazon Web Services.
  • Amazon.com Corporate Credit Line: A corporate account that allows for multiple users to make purchases.
  • Shop with Points: Allows customers to use points accumulated from points cards against their Amazon purchases.
  • Reload Your Balance: Load funds to an Amazon gift card to keep a balance for purchases.

Additionally, Amazon has also talked of a checking account option that would build out on its prepaid gift card offering. In November 2019, Google announced its plans for a checking account option, but Amazon has been reticent to make this move.

Amazon Secrets: How to Search for Amazon Coupon Codes and Deals

Did you know there are lots of Amazon secrets they don’t want you to know?  I have a few of my own secrets, but here are some great Amazon shopping tips videos.

How to find Amazon Checkout Coupons and Amazon Codes

Sometimes it can be hard to find coupons. There are many places to find Amazon coupons and promo codes.  You can search for Amazon codes by department and product by using some Google search tricks.

In addition, there are always Amazon clickable coupons.

Where are Amazon coupons to add to your cart?

On the Coupon Page for Amazon, you’ll find clickable coupons for lots of different products.  On this page, the coupons are arranged by category.  To redeem these Amazon checkout coupons, click on the coupon and then add the item to your cart.

When you check out, the discount will automatically be applied.  It’s that easy! The coupons change frequently, so make sure you bookmark the page and check back often.

How to Find Amazon Promo Codes and Free Amazon Codes By Department

These are a little bit trickier.  I am unaware of a single page that lists all the current Amazon codes within the Amazon site.  In order to find these hidden promo codes within Amazon, you need to do a little digging.

On the Amazon homepage, search by department and choose a category.  Within that category, there are often links at the top of the page.  Look for “special offers” where you may be able to find discounted products with various Amazon discount codes needed to apply the discount.

How to Search for an Amazon Discount Code

To find hidden Amazon codes, use this Google search trick. It takes a few steps, but you can find a current Amazon discount code to apply at checkout.  I have included a Google search box all set up and ready to go to make this as easy as possible.

In the search box below enter this whole phrase site:www.amazon.com code at checkout. To narrow it down to the current coupon codes, click on “more search tools” (on the left-hand side) and then “past week” (or whatever you decide).  You can get even more specific and enter site:www.amazon.com code at checkout toys.

How to get more Amazon Coupons and Discounts

In addition to using Amazon coupons, there are more ways to get discounts on your purchases.

Discounts on Amazon Prime Membership

If you are a qualifying customer, you can get Amazon Prime for just $5.99 a month.  This Prime deal is for those in select U.S. government assistance programs.  This is close to 50% off the regular monthly cost.

Save with Subscribe and Save

What a great deal! If you buy certain items regularly, go through Amazon subscribe and save. Not only do you save 15% each time, but you also get free shipping.

You can change your delivery schedule or cancel it at any time.  A while ago,  I wrote a whole post about how great subscribe and save is.

Narrow Your Amazon Searches

Did you know you can narrow down your searches not just by price, but also by percent discount? Choose a category and then look in the left-hand column for a variety of options.

For example, if you are looking for Women’s Clothing on Amazon, you can choose to only look at items 70% Off or More.

Gold Box, New Deals Every Day

Each day Amazon offers a Deal of the Day and Lightning Deals.  Check Amazon Gold Box each day for great deals!  Some of the lightning deals sell out fast and are only offered for a certain amount of time during the day.

Secret Amazon Decoder to Easily Find Discounted Products

Use the Amazon Decoder to Easily Find Amazon Discounts

Amazon does not make it easy to find highly discounted products, but if you know how to understand and decode Amazon’s URL coding, it gets a little easier.

Ok, here’s the basic URL for an Amazon discount code.

www.amazon.com/gp/search/?node=165793011&pct-off=95-99

red = Amazon category code

green = percent discount

You decide what percent you want to search for. I chose 95-99 (95%-99%).

for example…

Beware of This Fake Amazon Email Offering You a Promotional Credit

In all of our dreams, a no-strings-attached credit to Amazon would appear in our inboxes to be used on any product our hearts so desired. But usually, fantasies of free money falling into our laps are just that—fantasies. And if you ever think you're in that exact dream situation, you should absolutely question the motives of whoever is on the other side of said "free money" because it's most likely a scam.

Recently, several of my co-workers reported receiving an apologetic email from Amazon (or what appeared to be) conceding fault for a Lightening Deal that never went through. Each person who got this message was offered a promotional credit of exactly $49.82 to make up for the snafu.

The message read, "We're contacting you because we recently learned that you claimed a Lightening Deal, but were unable to check out due to a website issue."

While the email looked fairly authentic, with a subject line "A Message from Amazon Customer Service" and the company's easily identifiable yellow arrow branded above the body of the message, there were some—slightly more subtle—signs of phishing.

For one, the email's sender is "customer-service@amazonweb.com." All emails Amazon sends are from an address that ends with "@amazon.com."

The second questionable bit of the email is that the Amazon logo is missing a key part: the name Amazon itself. If you've ever received a genuine email from the online retailer, you've probably just skimmed through to find the important tidbits, like when to expect your order. What you might have glossed over is that the logo atop looks like this:

The logo on the phishing email my coworkers got, on the other hand, looked like this:

Fake amazon logo from phishing email

So that's two demerits before we even get to the copy. The first noticeable problem with the content of the email was the purported reason behind the credit in the first place. My co-workers who received the email had not, in fact, recently purchased a Lighting Deal on Amazon's site. Ok, so that's a red flag for sure—claims you did something that you know you didn't should give you pause. As Amazon itself points out, suspicious emails from scammers claiming to be the company will often include an order confirmation for something you did not actually order.

Another weird element in the language is a caveat toward the end. With an asterisk, the fine print reads "This promotional credit does not apply to digital purchases." I'm sorry, what? How else should I be using Amazon other than digitally? Ok, weird.

Here is the phishing email in full:

Amazon Phishing Email Message
Amazon Phishing Email Message

Once your suspicions are raised that you have received a fake offer that's most likely a scam, you still may be tempted to click the links just, you know, to be 100% certain—I get it; no one wants to miss out on free money. The thing about phishing emails, though, is that they're set up to do you harm, and clicking any links included in the message can come with consequences. In some cases, the links lead to websites that look similar to the site they're posing as—but the URL will be slightly off—and you'll be prompted to enter personal information, like credit card details, usernames, and passwords.

While those scams can be a little more transparent once you vet the webpages, other links in phishing emails install malware (which stands for malicious software) onto your computer immediately upon your click. There are several types of malware phishing emails can employ, like giving your computer a virus of some sort to destroy data on or otherwise damage your device. Another scary kind of malware is called screen-locking ransomware—used on Android and Windows devices—in which your screen locks against you and wrongfully accuses you of having illegal content. The goal of this malware is to scare people into paying a fee to regain access to their computers or phones.

The important thing to remember when you get an unprompted email that appears to be from a legitimate source is to check for signs of phishing. As phishing.org advises, "think before you click." In my coworkers' case, there were two notable opportunities to think "is this real?" even if they missed the wonky sender address and incorrect Amazon logo. Obviously, it's more fun to believe we're being given credits and winning money, which makes it easy to reason against your better judgment in the face of phishing emails. In cases like these, though, you should think of the principal of Occam's razor, which aptly reminds us: The simplest answer is usually the right one. And the simplest answer in the case of a mysterious email from amazonweb.com apologizing for something that never happened is: You're being scammed.

For more on steering clear of phishing, phishing.org has nine additional strategies.

Get up to $30 Off a $75+ Amazon Purchase by Using Amex Points!

This post contains references to products from one or more of our advertisers. We may receive compensation when you click on links to those products. The content on this page is accurate as of the posting date; however, some of the offers mentioned may have expired. For more information check out our Advertising Disclosure.

Terms apply to American Express benefits and offers. Enrollment may be required for select American Express benefits and offers. Visit americanexpress.com to learn more.

This might just be the easiest way to save big bucks on Amazon you’ll ever find. Some American Express cardholders can easily save up to $30 on their purchases from Amazon of $75 or more with this latest promo.

Amazon and American Express regularly team up for these promos that unlock huge savings when using Amex Membership Rewards points toward your purchase – and best of all, you only need to use 1 Amex point to trigger the savings. Some cardholders will be eligible for the full $30 off, while others may see smaller discounts. And still others may not be targeted for this promo at all – especially if you’ve used it before.

amazon amex promo

Check your Amex offers, too! You could stack these savings with an offer to earn 6x points on Amazon purchases!

All you need to do is link your Amex Membership Reward-earning credit card to your Amazon account. Then just activate the discount through the promotional page, add items shipped and sold by Amazon to your cart, then apply a single Membership Rewards point to your purchase to unlock these savings.

This promo is targeted, so not everyone is eligible. If you get a blank screen on the promo page, you aren’t eligible. No luck? Check to see if you’re targeted for a different promo with smaller savings, like $10 off a $100-plus Amazon purchase.

But hurry! Amazon says this promotion runs just through Sunday, Oct. 31 – and it could disappear even sooner based upon how many people use it.

Wanna save on flights, too? Here’s our No. 1 tip: Always start your search using Google Flights.

Here’s how it works…

How to Save Up to $30 On Your Amazon Order

  1. First things first, you need an American Express card that earns Membership Rewards points, like the Platinum Card® from American Express or the American Express® Gold card. Co-branded Delta cards or hotel chain cards won’t do the trick.
  2. You’ll need to link your Membership Rewards account with Amazon, which you can do by clicking here.
  3. The most important step: See if you’re eligible by heading to the promo page!
  4. Add up your purchases to your Amazon cart. These items must be sold and shipped by Amazon to qualify for the discount. Check on the item page or in your cart – here’s what to look for:

amazon amex promo

While Amazon gift cards won’t qualify for this discount, other third-party cards will. For example, you could buy Airbnb, Southwest Airlines, Starbucks, or Uber gift cards and get the $30 discount.

  • When you’re ready to check out, choose your American Express card as payment and pay for at least a portion of your order with Membership Rewards points. For the best value, just type in “.01” under “Apply American Express Membership Rewards Points.” This will put a single point and unlock your discount.
  • Finish your purchase and save up to $30!
  • Make sure to check your payment method after you take advantage of this deal and before making a future purchase. A few members of the Thrifty Traveler team have used this promo and the next time they tried making a purchase on Amazon, the payment method defaults to paying entirely with Membership Rewards.

    Bottom Line

These promos are an easy way to save up to $30 if you have shopping to do at Amazon. And we all know you’ve got a cart full of Amazon goodies waiting to be purchased.

Check to see if you’re eligible for one of these discounts!

Let Swagbucks help you put cash (or Amazon gift cards) back in your wallet. These daily reward sites won’t make you rich, but every little bit counts. When Prime Day rolls around you’ll have a few extra bucks to put towards your Amazon purchase.

Swagbucks is 100% free to sign up and use, eligible to anyone who is 13 years of age or older.

    Next Steps

    3. Survey Junkie – Earn Amazon Gift Cards by Taking Surveys

There are tons of places to take surveys online that will pay you via PayPal cash or a free Amazon gift card. Not all survey sites are legit, though, so be careful. One of my favorite survey apps is Survey Junkie.

Survey Junkie is a legitimate way to earn extra cash while you are waiting for the bus, on your lunch break, or even when vegging on the couch. I like to earn money with Survey Junkie as I wake up in the morning.

I like this platform because it’s easy to use, and you can take surveys on-the-go from your phone. Plus, they offer so many surveys that there’s never any shortage of money-earning opportunities (some of the other sites only offer a few each month).

You won’t get rich, but you can make a buck or so per survey. Each will take 5 to 10 minutes to complete, and you can cash out your points for Amazon gift cards! Eligibility: Survey Junkie is 100% free and they make it easy to sign up with Facebook, Google+, or any email address. Members need to be 13 or older and reside in the USA, Canada, or Australia (if you live in California, you must be 16 years old).

    Next Steps

    4. Get Paid to Shop with MyPoints

Get paid to shop online! MyPoints partners with more than 1,900 of the top retailers such as Walmart, eBay, and Amazon, and gives you reward credits just to do your regular shopping.

Sign up, make your first purchase of $20 or more, and you’ll get a $10 Amazon gift card as a freebie!

MyPoints is a legit site and a great way to generate reward credits towards a gift card. That being said, one of the downsides I’ve noticed with doing the paid surveys is that many offers will navigate you away from the MyPoints portal and onto third-party sites. This can be less intuitive than some of the other pad survey and reward platforms.

MyPoints is available to anyone over 13 years old, but the website strongly recommends use with an adult or legal guardian if you’re under 18 years old.

    Next Steps

    5. Download Ibotta for Free and Use it on Amazon Purchases

Ibotta is a free cash back and rewards app that started in the grocery store but now has rewards for almost anything – including Amazon!Unlike some of the other cash back companies, Ibotta rewards you for shopping online or in the store — which I find more convenient for groceries and local shopping. After a quick trip to the mall, you get cash back! Even after shopping for some items on Amazon, boom!Ibotta works on iOS and Android devices and is 100% free to sign up and use. There are no subscription fees or pushes for in-app purchases. And to sweeten the deal, just by signing up you can get a FREE $20 welcome bonus. This can be in the form of an Amazon gift card. You can earn more in referral bonuses by inviting your friends, too ($10 each). Once you’ve created an account, throw your referral link up on Facebook or any social media platform, and encourage your friends to sign up. When I first did this, 6 of my friends joined and I got a quick and easy $30 Amazon gift card!

Receipt Hog works in much the same way so you could download both apps and cash out through both from the same shopping trip. Double-dipping is the ultimate reward strategy.

    Next Steps

    6. Shop with Rakuten & Earn Free Gift Cards

Get a $10 signup bonus from Rakuten that you can trade in for gift cards!

Rakuten (formerly eBates) is another cashback/coupon shopping site. Unlike Ibotta, Rakuten works through online stores only.

But here’s a pro-tip: the workaround is to shop online and pick up your items in the local store if you prefer visiting retailers like Best Buy, Barnes & Noble, Walmart, or Kohls. I use this trick all the time to make sure I’m maximizing rewards for every type of purchase I make.

What I like most about Rakuten is the handy browser extension that will alert you if the store you’re shopping at has a cashback offer. It will also search for promo codes automatically and apply the best one that saves you the most on your shopping cart.

Rakuten and Amazon recently terminated their business relationship. While you can’t trade in your Rukaten earnings for Amazon gift cards specifically anymore, you can get a check mailed to your address that you can cash into your bank account.

Sign up and get a $10 welcome bonus today. Also, you can earn an easy $20 reward for any friends that you refer, also.

And if you like Rakuten, give Honey a try, too. Honey searches the web and compares it to your online shopping cart which can help you save money elsewhere. The Honey browser extension works well with Amazon online shopping.

    Next Steps

    7. Drop App – Earn “Drops” to Redeem for Amazon Gift Cards

With Drop, you earn points or “Drops” by shopping directly from this awesome new cashback app. Just load in your credit card details to the app and choose your five favorite vendors.

Once you start making purchases through the Drop app at any of your five favorite vendors that you chose, you’ll earn points based on the amount of money you spend. These points can be used for not only free Amazon gift cards but other great places like Starbucks or for Netflix. You can also use your points to enter sweepstakes if you’re feeling lucky!

One cool thing I like about Drop is it also allows you to connect a debit card to the app instead of a credit card. Most debit card users don’t accumulate reward points like credit card promotions but drop works with either, so it’s great for young people who don’t use credit lines.

Drop was founded in 2015 and has over 3 million users! It’s a legit way to get reward cash for shopping you already do.

Bonus: Drop users earn a $5 bonus just for signing up and linking their credit card or debit card to the app.–>

    Next Steps

    8. PrizeRebel – Earn Amazon, iTunes, Best Buy, and Visa Gift Cards

PrizeRebel is another survey site. It works a lot like Survey Junkie but tends to be simpler and even easier to use. I enjoyed using Prize Rebel because you can claim payouts in the form of about 500 different gift cards. The choices include a Visa gift card you can use anywhere.

Like Survey Junkie you’d need a minimum of 500 points ($5) to redeem a payout. Prize Rebel is so simple and straightforward I would probably list it higher except for one thing. The site’s simplicity has a drawback: You don’t know when you start a survey how much time it will take.

More advanced sites like Survey Junkie let you know in advance how many points you’ll get and how much time you should expect to spend. Survey Junkie also lets you know in advance if the survey will require some kind of supporting documentation. The more information you know upfront, the better you can determine whether the activity is going to be worth your time or not.

And, sadly, PrizeRebel does not have smartphone apps which means you’d need to be on your laptop or your phone’s web browser to earn extra money for your bank account.

All these drawbacks aside, I still recommend PrizeRebel because of its super easy-to-use interface. If you’ve got some spare time and want to try earning some Amazon cash, test it out for yourself.

    Next Steps

    9. InstaGC – If You Want a Variety In One Place

Let’s face it. Taking surveys all day can become mind-numbing. So can watching videos or playing video games. If you’d like a wider variety of to-do’s in one place, give InstaGC a look.

Yes, you can complete paid surveys and watch videos but you can also test apps, browse websites, test physical products, and refer friends to earn credits. These reward credits can be traded in for Amazon gift cards and many other kinds of gift cards.

You could also get PayPal cash, but in my experience, your points will have less value if you cash them out directly for money. Gift cards don’t require a fee, so there is more value in trading your points for a gift card.

    Next Steps

    10. Sign Up with Personal Capital for a Free $20 Amazon Gift Card!

Personal Capital, my favorite and free financial tracker app, will give you a $20 Amazon gift card just for signing up. It’s that simple.

There is a reason I wrote such a comprehensive Personal Capital Review and log into myself every single day. It really does help me track everything I need to know about my money – investment performance, cash flows, budgets, and early retirement trajectory. This is the best money app – period.

We talk a lot on this blog about how to make more money, get free gift cards, start side hustles, and increase our income at work. But building wealth isn’t about how much money you make, it’s about how much money you keep.

Personal Capital will help you track and build your wealth slowly, and is one of the best tools on your journey to financial freedom.

Get Amazon Gift Cards From Amazon Itself

My 10 best ways to get Amazon gift cards didn’t include the following ways to make money because Amazon itself offers these methods. But they’re definitely worth mentioning and they may be just the thing you need today:

    • Mechanical Turk: Amazon will put you to work doing data entry or maybe even some copy editing and then pay you with its own gift cards. You won’t earn a living wage in the United States but if you’re looking for extra money and you can work quickly, give Mechanical Turk a try.
    • Reload Bonus: If you have an existing gift card and reload it with an additional $100, Amazon will toss in an extra $5. This won’t help if you don’t already have $100. But still, if you’re going to spend the money on Amazon anyway, reload your gift card before shopping — the 5% payoff is a nice earning rate, for not much work at all.
    • Amazon Trade In: If you have any old electronic devices, Amazon has a Trade In Program for eligible items. You could earn free amazon gift cards for trading in your old cell phones, video games, or old amazon devices.
    • Amazon Prime Visa Rewards Credit Card: This isn’t one you want to use over and over, but when you sign up for an Amazon Prime Visa Credit Card, Amazon will apply $100 to your amazon gift card balance. I don’t recommend doing this unless you’re already shopping for a new credit card. If you don’t have the ability to pay off your credit card every month in full, you will end up paying more in interest than the money you’re earning in perks.

By combining these strategies together, even if you just earn enough to cover your Amazon Prime membership, you’d be coming out on top.

    Frequently Asked Questions

I’m sure you’ve got some questions about these techniques and sites. Below are some of the frequently asked questions, as well as other useful information.

Can You Really Get Free Amazon Gift Cards?

Yes. You absolutely can. The ways I listed above are legit ways to earn free amazon gift cards.

But, you should keep in mind that there is a time commitment to all of these activities. It’s up to you to determine how much time you want to put in to get a free Amazon gift card. The quickest and easiest way is to simply sign up for each welcome offer.

How Long Does It Take To Earn A Gift Card?

This really depends on the time you want to dedicate to these earning activities.

For the initial welcome bonus offers, you could earn your first free gift card in a matter of 10 minutes. For ongoing use of some of these sites, it will take a few days or even a week of activities to earn a gift card.

Can I Join All of These Sites to Get Free Gift Cards?

As long as you’re eligible, you can join however many sites you want to take advantage of the welcome bonus.

But, I must caution you that it can get really confusing to try and do all these activities at the same time. Also, remember there are many illegitimate and scam sites out there that aren’t safe to join. So as exciting as it is to join 50 websites and collect hundreds of dollars in Amazon credit, I recommend that you take your time and start slowly. Join just a few sites, see how you like them, and then continue as you feel.

Are Online Surveys Secure Ways to Make Money?

Working, shopping, and banking online — all of these everyday activities require top-notch security. Online survey sites and other ways to earn gift cards online are no different.

All of the sites I mentioned take sensible security precautions to protect your financial and personal contact data. But you should also take security measures:

    • Don’t Share Your Account Details: If a site wants your bank account numbers or other sensitive info, just move along somewhere else. You can always use PayPal to move cash from a survey site to your bank account rather than a direct connection to your bank account.
    • Don’t Use the Same Passwords: I know it’s convenient to use the same password on multiple sites — just about everybody has done it. But you really should take the extra time and effort to use different passwords on different sites. If someone got your Fetch Rewards password that would be inconvenient. But if the same password gave the hacker access to your bank account login, you’d have a much bigger problem.
    • Be Careful on Public Computers: There’s probably no need to log into sensitive accounts on public computers anymore, but if you do need to do this, remember to clear browsing data after you’re done. If you’re checking your Opinion Outpost balance in a library or campus computer lab and your password gets saved in the browser, the computer’s next user could log in to your account, too.

Besides Amazon, What Are The Other Best eGift Card Options?

Amazon is a pioneer and has become my go-to for almost all online shopping. And Amazon gift cards are probably the most common reward for companies that offer a small welcome bonus or promotional credit.

That being said, there are a ton of other places that offer free or cheap shipping, price matching, and even membership programs similar to Amazon Prime. Walmart, Target, Lowes, and Home Depot are all massive online marketplaces that sell tens of thousands of items.

These companies are starting to catch up with Amazon technology and price-wise. Target even holds an annual “Target Deal Days”, which is kind of replicating Amazon Prime Day, where they have mega discounts on specific items.

Picking the best online retailer is a matter of personal choice. But it’s safe to say that if you don’t specifically want an amazon gift card reward, choosing any other large well-known retailer is just as good.

How Do I Redeem My Free Amazon Gift Card?

Once you have a gift card in your possession, log into your Amazon account and navigate to My Account –> Account –> Gift Cards. From there you will see an option to either Reload an existing gift card or Redeem a new gift card. Click Redeem a new gift card.

Enter the Amazon gift card code, which is 14 or 15 characters long and will usually contain both letters and numbers. If you have a plastic gift card, you may need to gently scratch or peel off the protective coating on the back of the card to reveal the promo code. For eGift Cards, the Amazon gift card code will be in the email notification you received.

Once the gift card funds have been applied to your balance, the money will be automatically applied to your next Amazon purchase.

Everyone Wants Free Amazon Gift Cards!

In the age of online shopping, everyone notices free Amazon gift card offers. I know this because I’m a nerd and spend a lot of time analyzing Google search engine queries to help identify user needs. Then I write articles to answer these queries on this blog.

There are a ton of websites out there explaining the best way to get free Amazon gift cards. The trouble is, many of the solutions they recommend require you to jump through so many hoops just to earn a few cents.

Some sites can also be spammy or invasive or just feel illegitimate. Other sites require you to watch videos or play games which could take a long time. Or on some sites, it could take you weeks to earn enough points to cash in — whether you’re going for Amazon gift cards, PayPal cash, or some other perks.

I’ve tried nearly all of them so that I could compile the most legit ways to earn free Amazon gift cards. This is the one-stop-shop to earn Amazon gift cards fast. I hope you found it helpful.

Be safe, have fun, and earn some extra cash, or Amazon gift cards, in your free time!

    8. PrizeRebel – Earn Amazon, iTunes, Best Buy, and Visa Gift Cards

PrizeRebel is another survey site. It works a multi family homes for sale in malden ma like Survey Junkie but tends to be simpler and even easier to use. I enjoyed using Prize Rebel because you can claim payouts in how to get amazon promotional credit form of about 500 different gift cards.

    9. InstaGC – If You Want a Variety In How to get amazon promotional credit Place

Personal Capital will help you track and build your wealth slowly, and is one of the best tools how to get amazon promotional credit your journey to financial freedom.

Check Amazon Gold Box each how to get amazon promotional credit for great deals!

Ok, here’s the basic URL for an Amazon discount code.

    www.amazon.com/gp/search/?node=165793011&pct-off=95-99

    red = Amazon category code

    green = percent discount

You decide what percent you want to search for. I chose 95-99 (95%-99%).

    for example…

A $40 gift card for them and a $10 gift card for you

Amazon is giving away $10 gift cards in its Prime Day deals when you purchase a $40 gift card - essentially giving you $50 worth of gift cards for $40.

To claim the Prime Day gift card deal, all you have to do is enter the code GCPRIME2021 at checkout with at least $40 worth of gift cards in your card, and your $10 promotional credit will be applied to your account within two days after the purchase is completed.

Amazon is limiting it to one gift card per user and the deal is only valid until 11:59 p.m. (PT), June 22, 2021 while supplies last. So, you don't have long if you want to grab this deal!

The Amazon Prime Day gift card deal

This Prime Day gift card deal is one of the most popular ones during Amazon Prime Day, and it’s easy to see why - it’s free money (that you need to spend at Amazon, but still).

That said, watch out for the fine print here - as it's a little more complicated than it first appears. For one, the $10 credit will be applied to the account that paid for the $40 gift card unless you ship a physical card to someone else.

For another, the promotional credit only applies to products and digital content sold by Amazon.com or Amazon Digital Services LLC - not on products from third-party vendors.

The good news is that Amazon sells A LOT of stuff. When you factor in all the devices, all the eBooks, all the movies, shows and music available, it's a vast, vast catalogue of products to pick from, so we're sure you'll find a good use for the credit you'll get.
