Estimated values? Corrected values? A system processing error? What does that mean? How accurate (or inaccurate) are the mass gov dua login being released?
The DUA won’t say, continuing its long-standing practice of refusing to answer questions about its operations.
A DUA spokesman on Wednesday did not response to a request for an explanation of the mass gov dua login Thursday morning, the spokesman, after being asked again for an explanation, promised to “look into” it and “get back” to the Globe.

Complaints about glitches were soon replaced with complaints about delays in processing claims after Massachusetts became one of many states hit by a nationwide fraud scheme.
The DUA responded to the deluge of fraudulent claims by interrupting weekly payments to some claimants and blocking the initial filings of others as it investigated.
But the Baker administration released very little information about the extent of the mass gov dua login or what it was doing about it, drawing a rebuke from Attorney General Maura Healey.
“The Baker administration has given little information for people to understand what’s going on,” Healey said in June. “And clear and transparent information is vital to the public.”
Healey said then that her office had heard complaints from hundreds of people either cut off from benefits or blocked from making new filings.
Governor Charlie Baker, at a press conference back then, said, “We know how important these benefits are, but we absolutely positively have to make sure that this money goes to the people it’s intended to go to, and not to these people who are trying to rip the system off.”
In November, Baker was again asked about new delays in processing benefits in response to a surge in fraudulent claims.
“There is a tremendous amount of bot-based fraud going on,” he said, referring to software programs that allow crooks to flood the system with claims using stolen personal information.
But when the Globe followed up on that comment with detailed questions, including walmart stock price 1990 how fraud cases affected the weekly unemployment numbers being released by the DUA, the Baker administration fell silent.

- Select Log in to UI Online for Claimants.
- Create an UI Online account or log in to an existing account.
- Complete all information requested and submit application.
- Be sure to include phone number and email address to make it easier for connections, in case DUA has questions about application.

BOSTON — Criminal enterprises in possession of stolen personal information from earlier national data breaches have been attempting to file large amounts of illegitimate unemployment claims through the Massachusetts Department of Unemployment Assistance (DUA) system. This is part of a national unemployment fraud scheme.
The Department of Unemployment Assistance (DUA) has begun implementing additional identity verification measures that will temporarily delay the payment timeframe for many unemployment claims in Massachusetts. As a result of these measures, certain unemployment claimants may be asked to provide additional identity information in order to verify the validity of their claim.
“Protecting the integrity of the unemployment system and ensuring benefits are going only to valid claimants is the top priority of the Department of Unemployment Assistance,” said Labor and Workforce Development Secretary Rosalin Acosta. “While the program integrity measures we are taking will, unfortunately, mean that some claimants will experience temporary delays in payment, we believe these steps are necessary to respond to this unemployment scam. We are working rapidly to respond to this scheme and urge individuals who may have had a false unemployment claim filed in their name to contact the Department.”

COVID Housing Resources
On December 31, Governor Baker signed into law Chapter 257 of the Acts of 2020, which makes important changes to summary process rules and procedures that will be in effect until the end of the COVID-19 state of emergency. Please take note of the following new requirements:
- Until the end of the state of emergency, a notice to quit for nonpayment of rent given in writing by a landlord to a residential tenant pursuant to section 11 or section 12 of said chapter 186 of the General Laws must be accompanied by a form with certain information specified in the statute. The Executive Office of Housing and Economic Development (EOHED) is required by the law to create and make this form available. The form can be found at mass.gov/noticetoquit.
- The new law also requires a landlord to send to EOHED electronically a copy of any notice to quit for nonpayment of rent given in writing to a residential tenant pursuant to said section 11 or said section 12 of said chapter 186. EOHED has created a portal for landlords to upload the required electronic copy of the notice to quit. The portal for upload also can be found at mass.gov/noticetoquit.
- The new law also requires EOHED to promulgate emergency regulations implementing these provisions of the new law. The emergency regulations were filed with the Secretary of State, and became effective, on December 31. A copy of the regulations, as well as a link to mass gov dua login new law, are available at mass.gov/noticetoquit.
